About Us
nidìn was born from a simple wish: to keep a family home alive and full of shared experiences.
The house in Sardigliano has belonged to Gian Luca’s family for generations. His grandparents lived here, his parents cared for it, and he was born within these walls. For many years, it was also a shop – a place with open doors and people constantly passing through.
When it was time to decide its future, selling it didn’t feel right, and neither did renting it anonymously.
So together, Raffaella and Gian Luca chose to transform it into something that honors the past while welcoming new memories.
Raffaella grew up in a large family, where no one needed an invitation and tables were filled with food and conversation. She was raised in a home defined by hospitality. For her, welcoming with warmth and care is a natural instinct.
Her greatest joy is hearing guests say they slept deeply and felt truly cared for.
In fact, nidìn is inspired by la casa dei nonni – that feeling of warmth, safety, and being extra spoiled, that grandparents give their grandchildren. You’ll sense it in the small details: scented linens and towels, antique family furniture, photographs on the doors, homemade breakfast treats
prepared by a local home bakery in memory of Gian Luca’s mother, who loved to bake.

nidìn, a name that reads the same both ways, is your little nest in the hills: a place to rest, explore from, and feel at home.
Family owned.
